John is a Sacramento, California-based artist (by way of Springfield, Missouri and Los Angeles, California), specializing in painting (acrylics and watercolors) and drawings (pencils, inks, pastels). Though his work is heavily influenced by monster movies, comic books, and MAD magazines from the 1950s and 60s, his greatest inspiration came from his mother, Pauline Danner, who herself was an artist.

 

His eclectic body of work focuses on creative realism and abstraction, with a smattering of bloodshot eyeballs, classic cars, and doodle art. His online gallery is a place for art fans to browse, ponder, enjoy, and collect his many unique and eccentric pieces.
